Job summary

VitalCaring Group in Austin, Texas is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Home Health. You will work directly with patients in their homes to improve mobility, strength, and independence.

As part of a collaborative, patient-centered team, you’ll implement plans of care under a licensed Physical Therapist, document progress in the EMR, and help families with exercises, safety, and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
