Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in home health settings across Texas. The PTA will deliver direct care, assist in executing treatment plans, and help improve mobility and comfort.

You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, operate rehabilitation equipment, document progress, and educate families about at-home routines while maintaining HIPAA-compliant, safe clinical environments.

Qualifications

• Must have prior home health experience.
• Associate degree in PTA from an accredited program.
• Licensure or certification as required by state law.
• Familiarity with therapy equipment and techniques.
• Strong communication, empathy, and patience with patients of various ages.
• Ability to lift and support patients and stay active throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out physical therapy treatment plans under supervision.
• Guide patients through exercises, stretches, and mobility techniques.
• Use equipment to aid recovery and rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
