Job summary

PARS Therapy in Garland, TX is seeking a compassionate Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patients throughout recovery. This role collaborates with a licensed Physical Therapist and care team to restore mobility and independence in the home setting.

You will implement evidence-based interventions, educate patients, and create personalized care plans focused on improving strength, balance, and functional goals while promoting overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license and CPR certification required.
• Professional liability insurance coverage required.
• Experience in home health or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team.
• Clinical PTA experience and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services in the home under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Assist in identifying patient goals and implement mobility interventions.
• Provide evidence-based, cost-effective treatments to improve movement and independence.
• Support alternatives to surgery and reduce medication reliance through therapy.
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans using proven techniques.
• Create wellness and fitness programs tailored to each patient.
• Educate and motivate patients to actively participate in rehabilitation.
• Promote overall health by improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and communicate updates to the care team.
• Accurately document all services and maintain patient records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising therapist or clinical manager.
