Job summary

The Christ Hospital Home Health Care seeks a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will educate patients and families, ensure safety, and maintain compliant documentation per Medicare guidelines.

Ideal candidates have current PTA licensure, at least one year of PTA experience (home health a plus), and strong communication skills to coordinate with physicians and caregivers.

Qualifications

• PTA license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of one year PTA experience, acute setting preferred.
• Home health experience is desired.
• Strong communication with patients, families, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled PTA services in patient’s home as prescribed by PT.
• Observes and reports patient progress and documents appropriately.
• Treats patients to relieve pain and improve function with therapeutic interventions.
• Assess functional problems and supports goals with PT.
• Educates patients and families on therapy techniques and safety.
