Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitative services in home settings. You will work under a PT, following an approved plan of care, and document patient progress and responses to treatment.

Qualifications include a CAPTE-accredited PTA program and active PTA license in the state of assignment, with CPR certification. Mileage reimbursement and a $5K sign-on bonus are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA educational program.
• One year of related PTA experience for home health roles.
• If less than one year, mentoring/approval by regional clinical leaders required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT and approved plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising staff.
• Maintains documentation of supervisory activities in the patient record.
• Participates in care conferences, chart audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures confidentiality of patient information and coordinates follow-up care.
