Job summary

Advanced Nursing Concepts provides one-on-one home health care to patients in their homes. We support our clinicians with field mentorship, clinical guidance, and flexible scheduling.

The Physical Therapy Assistant role requires an accredited PTA program graduate with an Associate's degree, current license, and CPR. Regular travel by car is expected within the service area, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science approved by the APTA.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Regular travel by personal vehicle between patient homes and office within service area; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy under the PT's direction and physician's plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance.
• Guide patients through exercises, gait and transfer training, and prosthetic training.
• Apply heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage as ordered.
• Report patient response and changes in condition to the PT.
• Teach patients to use mobility aids.
• Document care accurately and on time.
• Participate in Home Care Team meetings and inservice education.
