Job summary

VitalCaring Group in Houston, Texas is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality, hands-on care in patients’ homes. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, following plans of care to improve mobility and independence.

This field-based role offers autonomy with support from a caring PT team. Requirements include PTA licensure, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ year of home health experience; comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or state certification.
• 1+ year of home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
