Job summary

Advanced Nursing Concepts provides one-on-one home health care to patients in their homes and supports clinicians with field mentorship and flexible scheduling.

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for visits in Ocala, FL and surrounding areas. This PRN role requires 2-3 days per week, 7:00am-4:00pm, and travel by personal vehicle. A PTA degree, state licensure, CPR, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy under the PT's direction and physician's plan of care
• Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance
• Guide patients through exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and transfer training, and prosthetic training
• Apply heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage as ordered
• Report patient response and changes in condition to the PT
• Teach patients to use wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices
• Document care accurately and on time
• Participate in Home Care Team meetings and inservice education
• Take on other duties as assigned
