Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification, preferably Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Automobile insurance meeting applicable legal and agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions in accordance with the supervising therapist's plan.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
• Assist patients in improving strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, and overall function.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions within the plan of care.
• Communicate significant changes to the supervising Physical Therapist promptly.
• Participate in fall prevention strategies and home safety education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary home health team to promote continuity of care.

Education

Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant educational program
