Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide home health services in Lafayette, Louisiana. You will work one-on-one with patients in their homes, delivering hands-on therapy to improve mobility, strength, and independence.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program, holds a current PTA license, and has CPR certification; 1+ year home health experience preferred, valid driver's license required, and you’ll join a supportive team with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and communicate with the care team.
