Job summary

Amedisys in Hampton, VA is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant for full-time day shifts in home health. You will provide PT services under supervision, help patients recover at home, and coordinate with clinicians to implement plans of care.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care; mentored if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and clinicians.
• Maintains patient records and documents supervisory activities.
• Cooperates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care with the admitting agency.
