UnitedHealth Group's VNA of Maryland Easton, part of LHC Group, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education under a supervising PT in home care.

Responsibilities include following state laws, assisting with active/passive exercise, documenting responses, and coordinating with the care team. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Current licensing as PTA and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation

Responsabilités

• Follow state laws and supervise treatment plan as defined by the supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise and gait training
• Observes and reports patient progress to the supervising PT and care team
• Educates patient, family, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety
• Coordinate care with other health care team members
