Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with home health experience to join the Home Health team across multiple locations in Texas. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in therapeutic exercises, and monitor progress in a home health setting.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited PTA degree, state licensure, and familiarity with relevant therapy equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Program (accredited).
• Must have prior home health experience.
• Licensure or certification as required by the state of employment.
• Familiarity with therapy equipment and techniques.
• Strong communication, empathy, and patience with patients of various ages.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical therapy treatment plans under the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and mobility techniques.
• Use therapy equipment to aid in recovery and rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document patient progress during sessions.
• Communicate with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of goals.
• Educate patients and families about at-home exercises for continued recovery.
• Prepare therapy rooms and equipment for patient use.
• Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.
• Report significant changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Record accurate notes on treatment provided and progress.
