Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and improved quality of life. You will collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.

Responsibilities include delivering OT services under a physician-approved plan of care, documenting accurately, and supervising home health aides when needed.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state you are assigned to work.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program (educational requirement).
• Eligible to take, or have completed, NBCOT certification.
• One year related OT experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient.
• If less than one year experience, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency established.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery under a physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensures the plan of care addresses problems identified in assessment or documents rationale if not addressed.
• Accountable for safety and effectiveness of the OT service delivery process.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Other duties as assigned.
