All About Home Care Inc. is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists to serve patients in the Houston area, including North East Greater Houston communities.

This full-time home health position focuses on assessing function, developing plans of care, and delivering prescribed therapy to improve independence. We welcome OTs with Texas licensure, and prefer candidates with home health experience and familiarity with Kinnser/WellSky documentation.

Formación

• Licensed in Texas and eligible to practice as an OT.
• Graduate of an OT curriculum accredited by AMA/AOTA or certified by the national exam.
• Two years of home health experience preferred.
• One year of experience using Kinnser/WellSky in home health preferred.

Responsabilidades

• OT takes initial history and make initial evaluation.
• Assists the physician in evaluating level of function.
• Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Returns the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capabilities.
• Provides prescribed occupational therapy.
• Directs and supervises personnel as required.
• Performs all skilled procedures.
• Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment.
• Writes reports to physicians regarding patient’s progress.
• Instructs patient/family members in home programs and fine motor development exercises.
• An initial evaluation, including plan of treatment and goals, must be filled out and submitted to the physician for approval.
• Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes.
• Advises and consults with the family and other Agency personnel.
• Participates in in-service program.

Job Description All About Home Care

All About Home Care is a Houston-based home health care agency. We’ve been serving the Houston and surrounding communities since 2004, providing quality home health services. We are looking for Occupational Therapists (OTs) to help serve patients in the North East part of Greater Houston, including areas such as Spring, Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Huffman, Crosby, Barrett, and Highlands. We are also seeking PRN OTs for The Woodlands and Conroe areas. If you have any experience in home health,

Qualification

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or certified by successfully completing the national Certification examination
• Currently licensed in the State of Texas
• Two years of experience in Home Health preferred
• 1 year experience using Kinnser/WellSky for home health preferred

• An initial evaluation, including plan of treatment and goals, must be filled out and submitted to the physician for approval. A progress note is written each visit. A re-evaluation is conducted when expected duration of treatment is reached. A summary is written upon patient’s discharge.
• Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary
• Prepares clinical and progress notes
• Advises and consults with the family and other Agency personnel
• Periodically participates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning
• Participates in in-service program
