Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess and address functional status, activities of daily living, and adaptive equipment needs in home health. You will work within the plan of care and coordinate with the health care team to optimize outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include evaluating functional status, CMS documentation, and developing therapy plans in collaboration with physicians. Opportunity for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provides service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing Occupational Therapy, per plan of care, with evidence-based techniques.
• Evaluates patient functional status and CMS documentation needs; consults with physician on therapy plan of care.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
• Conducts patient assessments evaluating function using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Function in home settings regardless of client demographics.
