Job summary

Sevita, including ResCare Community Living, delivers person-centered health care and support services to individuals with disabilities and other needs. This role provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care under RN or physician direction, ensuring quality, safety, and dignity for residents.

You will work as part of a team to monitor medications, maintain records, train staff, and coordinate services with external agencies. Strong communication and caregiving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or related field.
• One year experience working with population served in a nursing capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic care and medical treatment to individuals receiving services.
• Completes health assessments and inputs health diagnosis to RN/physician for nursing care plan.
• Administers medication; liaises with pharmacy and monitors appointments.
• Oversees staff who administer medication; conducts quality assurance checks on health care records.
• Provides emergency coverage and/or care.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows universal precautions.
• Works with external agencies to coordinate services.
• Provides staff training on medication administration and infection control.
• Trains individuals on self-medication and prescribed treatments.
• May coordinate household activities and transport; participates in on-call system.
• Performs other related duties as required.
