Beacon Home Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team in Smithville, TN. The COTA will provide in-home occupational therapy services, following the established plan of care and reporting patient progress to the supervising OT and physician.

This full-time role involves coordination with the health care team and educating patients and families on therapy techniques.

Qualificações

• Current PT license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Must be able to reliably commute to multiple patient residences daily within the geographic area.

Responsabilidades

• Provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes per the plan of care.
• Follow the plan of care and instruct patients in evidence-based treatment.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising OT/physician.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.

The COTA performs his/her duties in accordance with policies and procedures and the established plan of care. A few position highlights include:Provide service within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the provision of Occupational Therapy in home care, and in accordance with the plan of care set only as defined by the supervising OT.Follow the plan of care, instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants.Observe, record, and report to the supervising OT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
