Job summary

Mercy in Mustang, OK is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care across all ages. The role involves assisting with initial assessments, documenting progress, and administering therapies under supervision, in alignment with Mercy policies and standards.

Liscensure or eligibility, BLS certification, and a willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team are required. One year of experience is preferred, though new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupation Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• BLS certification. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment under supervision and according to department policies.
• Document the course of patient care including progress notes and continuation of treatment.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures per department policies.
• Maintain progress notes and department records per policy.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific needs across neonatal to geriatric populations.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
