Job summary

Central Coast VNA & Hospice in Monterey, CA is seeking a Home Health Clinical Educator to develop and implement comprehensive orientation, training, and professional development for clinical, clerical, and management staff within Home Health. This role ensures staff competency, regulatory compliance, and supports quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience.
• Experience with staff education and adult learning principles.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and training for new hires, resources for orientation meeting state/federal guidelines.
• Collaborates with QAPI Nurses and DPCS for training needs and clinical staff.
• Coordinates training for oasis, HIS guidelines, HHVBP, Case Management expectations and emerging interventions.
• Works with Director of Compliance to identify staff development needs.
• Leads staff education initiatives.

Job Summary: The Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive orientation, training, and professional development programs for clinical, clerical, and management staff within the Home Health department. This role ensures staff competency, regulatory compliance, and supports quality improvement initiatives across the agency. The educator collaborates closely with leadership to identify training needs, support new hires, and promote best practices in care delivery.

Status:Full-Time (exempt)

Responsibilities:

• Clinical new hire onboarding and training, maintaining new hire orientation program resources and development of resources to meet state and federal guidelines.
• Works closely with QAPI Nurses and DPCS for Home Health program to determine new hire orientation needs, emerging interventions that require training and clinical needs of staff.
• Executes and/or coordinates training for staff as needed for oasis, HIS interpretive guidelines, HHVBP, Case Management expectations. Emerging and challenging clinical interventions as identified through QAPI, surveillance and clinical or patient feedback.
• Collaborates with Director of Compliance for identification of staff development needs.
• Leads staff education

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse licenses in California
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience
• Experience with staff education and adult learning principles
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Current CPR certification
