Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare is seeking a part-time Home Health Caregiver to support clients in their own homes in the Houston area. You will assist with ADLs, monitors safety, prepares meals, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure comfort and well-being.

The ideal candidate has reliable transportation, strong communication, and a compassionate approach. Schedule is Monday–Friday 9 am–12 pm, totaling 15 hours weekly, with shifts offered. Starting wage $12.75/hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and mobility.
• Strong communication and dependable scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Maintain client safety with wellness checks and environmental monitoring.
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure hydration; assist with medications reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and report changes to healthcare team.
• Engage clients in social activities to support mental well-being.
• Document changes in client condition and adapt care to individual needs.

Position Overview:

As a Caregiver, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being
• Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility
• Dependable with excellent time management skills
