Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks an experienced nursing leader to supervise an assigned team, promote shared decision-making, and provide clinical and administrative leadership with 24-hour accountability.

You will coordinate care, ensure resource use, participate in audits, lead recruitment and staff development, and oversee staffing, scheduling, and financial performance.

This role includes on-call coverage and cross-department representation within Virtua's integrated care system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in home care with supervisory experience.
• BSN degree required; RN licensure in NJ and CPR certification.
• Excellent organizational and computer skills; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership to assigned team and empowers staff to participate in decision making.
• Evaluates quality, safety and appropriateness of care using patient outcomes and allocates resources.
• Participates in regulatory audits and surveys by fiscal intermediaries and accrediting agencies.
• Develops team aligning clinical needs with staff skills and competence; drives recruitment and orientation.
• Oversees financial performance of the department.
• Serves as on-call manager, coordinates weekend admissions and visits; represents the organization.
