Job summary

MaineHealth Home Health and Hospice seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts in Brunswick, ME. The CNA will provide in-home personal care under a licensed RN, supporting clients to maintain health and comfort.

Eligible for sign-on bonuses based on experience, with prorated amounts for part-time roles. Requirements include a state CNA license, current or soon-to-be BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Current applicable state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• BLS certification must be current or obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Valid Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care to clients in their homes under RN supervision.
• Support activities of daily living to maintain client health and comfort.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to the care team.
• Assist with basic medical tasks within scope of practice.

This is a full time, day shift position.

The Home Health Assistant role, under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, provides hands‑on personal care to clients in their home, providing services which are needed to maintain the client’s health or to facilitate treatment of the client’s illness or injury.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid Driver's license required.
3. Experience: Prior home care experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part‑time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full‑time equivalent (FTE).
