Right at Home Columbus is hiring Home Health Aides to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and adults with disabilities. As a CNA or Personal Care Assistant, you’ll support daily living activities, mobility, meal prep and companionship in clients’ homes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to lift/move 50lbs without assistance.
• Pass a background check
• STNA, CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home.
• Housekeeping tasks including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping, dishes, laundry, bathroom cleaning.
• Preparing meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanying client to errands or medical appointments.
• Bathing, dressing, shaving as needed.
• Medication reminders.
• Assisting with prescribed ROM exercises.
• Dementia care.
• Providing companionship through reading, music, puzzles.

Shifts

• Available shifts 8AM to 10PM

• 2 to 4 hour shifts available that can provide schedule flexibility around your personal needs

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home

• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom

• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions

• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments

• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving

• Medication reminders

• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises

• Dementia care

• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.

• Must be able to lift/move 50lbs without assistance

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance

• Pass a background check

• STNA, CNA license, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
