Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
• CNA, STNA, HHA, or Personal Care Assistant certification preferred (or relevant family/professional caregiving experience).
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (BCI/FBI).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English).

Responsibilities

• Assisting seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility/transfers.
• Companionship and engagement through activities like reading and conversation.
• Homemaking tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, dishes, and kitchen upkeep.
• Meal preparation according to client instructions.
• Errands and transportation to appointments and errands.
• Specialized care support including medication reminders and dementia care.

Caregiver Responsibilities

As a Right at Home Caregiver, you will assist seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility/transfers.

• Companionship & Engagement: Engaging in meaningful activities like reading, puzzles, and conversation.

• Homemaking: Light housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, dishes, laundry, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms).

• Meal Preparation: Preparing healthy meals and snacks according to client instructions.

• Errands & Transportation: Accompanying clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or local errands.

• Specialized Care Support: Medication reminders, prescribed range-of-motion exercises, and dementia/Alzheimer’s care support.
