Job summary

Right at Home is hiring compassionate caregivers to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a caregiver, you will assist seniors and adults with daily living activities in clients' homes, providing companionship and support with mobility, grooming, and transportation.

We offer flexible shifts, weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career development. A CNA/STNA/HHA certification or equivalent experience is preferred, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA/STNA/HHA certification preferred or relevant caregiving experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check (BCI/FBI).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English).

Responsibilities

• Assist seniors and adults with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and engagement with clients.
• Light homemaking (household chores, laundry, dishes).
• Meal preparation according to client needs.
• Errands and transportation to appointments or shopping.

Caregiver Responsibilities

As a Right at Home Caregiver, you will assist seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

• Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility/transfers.
• Companionship & Engagement: Engaging in meaningful activities like reading, puzzles, and conversation.
• Homemaking: Light housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, dishes, laundry, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms).
• Meal Preparation: Preparing healthy meals and snacks according to client instructions.
• Errands & Transportation: Accompanying clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or local errands.
• Specialized Care Support: Medication reminders, prescribed range-of-motion exercises, and dementia/Alzheimer’s care support.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
• CNA, STNA, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant certification preferred (or relevant family/professional caregiving experience).
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (BCI/FBI).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English).
