Job summary

First Day Homecare seeks a caregiver aide to provide personal care under RN supervision, assigned to clients by the RN or supervisor to support comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities include companionship, ADL assistance, documenting care, and communicating with the care team. There are part-time and full-time roles with flexible scheduling and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Complete a formal certification training program.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with ADLs such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the clients condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the clients care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.

Job Summary

Provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Aide is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional who performs services for clients as necessary to maintain their personal comfort and well-being.
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor
Provides Supervision To: NA - No supervision responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.

• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification.
