Job summary

CareRing Health, LLC is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to deliver quality at-home care to clients under nurse supervision in Virginia. You will assist with daily living activities and support therapeutic plans as ordered by physicians.

The role requires valid CNA and Virginia Home Health Aide licenses, CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior elder care experience is preferred, and you will document care activities and communicate changes to the supervising

Qualifications

• Valid CNA license in good standing and Virginia Home Health Aide credential.
• CPR certification and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience caring for the elderly in residential or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transfers and mobility.
• Engages residents in conversation and activities while providing personal care.
• Responds promptly to resident needs and requests for care, seeking additional help as needed.
• Observes residents for changes and reports to a licensed nurse.
• Completes incident and change-of-condition reporting as required.
• Makes beds, assists with meals, and maintains clean living spaces.

Overview

The Home Health Aide d elivers quality home health care services to the Agency’s clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist in accordance with physician orders, Agency and industry standards, and federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse
• Completes all forms and documentation such as incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, and in a timely manner
• Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, not including tube feeding
• Makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily and as needed

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in good standing
• Virginia Home Health Aide license
• CPR Certificate
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred
