Job summary

CareRing Health, LLC is seeking a Home Health Aide to deliver quality in-home care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, meal support, and documentation, in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.

Qualified candidates hold a CNA license in good standing, Virginia Home Health Aide license, CPR certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior elderly care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA license in good standing.
• Must hold Virginia Home Health Aide license.
• CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with elderly in residential or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
• Engage residents in conversation, socialization, and activities during personal care.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and obtain assistance as necessary.
• Observe changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition and report to a licensed nurse.
• Complete incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking as requested.
• Prepare and serve meals and assist with eating (not including tube feeding).
• Make beds, empty trash, and tidy rooms daily.

Overview

The Home Health Aide delivers quality home health care services to the Agency's clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist in accordance with physician orders, Agency and industry standards, and federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports promptly to a licensed nurse
• Completes all forms and documentation such as incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested, and in a timely manner
• Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, not including tube feeding
• Makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily and as needed

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in good standing
• Virginia Home Health Aide license
• CPR Certificate
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred
