Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Mercer County is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Somerset County to support seniors in the home. The role offers 1:1 client care, flexible scheduling, and the chance to build skills through online training and CEUs, with tuition discounts through Rasmussen University.

The team is supported by an RN, promoting confidence and ongoing guidance. A strong emphasis on compassionate, dependable care and work-life balance is central to this opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in New Jersey.
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification.
• TB, MMR and HepB vaccination information.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
