Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Mercer County is seeking Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide in-home care in Monmouth County. The role offers 1:1 client ratios, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for online training and CEUs.

Base pay is $18/hour with bonus opportunities for select cases; tuition discounts through Rasmussen University are available to support your education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active HHA registration in New Jersey.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• TB, MMR and HepB vaccination information.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature; good communicator; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies).

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
