Job summary

Rockaway Home Care is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide one-on-one in-home care for clients throughout Bronx County, NY. We offer flexible schedules and a range of case opportunities to fit your location and availability.

Pay ranges from $18–$22 per hour with options for full-time, part-time, or per diem engagements. You’ll join a supportive team that coordinates cases near your home and priorities client comfort and independence.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Home Health Aide certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Compassionate, dependable and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication skills with clients and care team.
• Commitment to treating every client with dignity and respect.
• Previous home care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
• Assist with meals and daily routines.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted.
• Light housekeeping related to client care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Follow the client’s plan of care.

Rockaway Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide quality, one-on-one care to clients throughout Bronx, New York

We have clients throughout The Bronx - both East and West

We understand that location matters. Our team will work to connect you with available clients based on where you live, your preferred work area, your availability, and current case openings.

You don't have to travel across the entire county — tell us where you want to work, and we'll work to find an available case that fits.

What You'll Do

As an HHA/PCA with Rockaway Home Care, you'll help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Providing mobility and transfer assistance

• Assisting with meals and daily routines

• Providing medication reminders as permitted

• Light housekeeping related to the client's care

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition to the appropriate care team

• Maintaining accurate documentation of services provided

• Following the client's established plan of care
