Job summary

PurposeCare is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide compassionate, one-on-one care in patients' homes across the Akron area. You will support clients to stay safe, comfortable, and independent while building meaningful relationships with each patient.

The role involves travel to patient homes, assisting with activities of daily living, and reporting changes to the office. A caregiving background with valid certifications helps you succeed in this flexible, patient-centered position.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience (within last 2 years) under RN supervision.
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to work independently in patients' homes.

Responsibilities

(HHA) Home Health Aide - Flexible Schedule, Weekly Pay, 1:1 Patient Care

Join a fast-growing home health team providing one-on-one care in patients’ homes. As a Home Health Aide, you’ll help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent — while building meaningful relationships every day.

• Supportive Clinical/Admin Team

What You'll Do:

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Support mobility, transfer, and ambulation
• Provide meal prep and feeding assistance
• Monitor and report changes to office
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment
• Travel to patient homes within assigned area

What You Need:

• Age 18 or older
• 1 year of caregiving experience (within last 2 years) under RN supervision
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently in patient homes
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Willing to complete background check & onboarding

Preferred (Not Required)

• Active HHA or CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification
• CPR and Adult First Aid certification
• Experience supporting seniors or medically complex clients
• Experience working with dementia or memory care patients
