Job summary

Astrocare Home Healthcare in Texas is seeking a compassionate Home Health Caregiver. You will support clients at home, helping with daily activities, safety, and comfort while maintaining independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, hydration, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the health team. Flexible schedule with part-time or full-time evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.

Position Overview:

As a Caregiver, you'll provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being through personalized care and assistance with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Maintain client safety through regular wellness checks and environmental monitoring
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure proper hydration
• Assist with medication reminders and compliance
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe living environment
• Change dressings and assist with basic medical care as directed
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to support mental well-being
• Document and report changes in client condition to healthcare team
• Adapt care approaches to various living conditions and client needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience

Employment Details:

• Position Type; Part-time position available
• Compensation: Starting at $10.60 per hour
• Hours: Flexible schedules, 27.5 - 54 Hours per week
• Shifts: 4, 6, or 8 hour shifts available
• Reliable Transportation
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; 4 pm - 9:30 pm
