Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and be able to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of specials in Drug GM and Home categories.
• Recommend Drug GM and Home items to meet customer needs.
• Review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads for present, future, seasonal and special promotions.
• Reinforce safety programs by following procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report any repair needs to management.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or staff.
• Report safety risks, illegal activity including robbery or theft.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
