Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver in Charlotte, NC. You will deliver equipment to customers safely, promptly and courteously, and act as a company ambassador with the advantage of being home most nights.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
