Job summary

Champaign County Regional Planning Comm is seeking an Energy Advisor II to deliver residential energy assessments and energy efficiency projects in Champaign County and Central Illinois. You will educate residents, install efficiency measures, and coordinate with partners and contractors to advance weatherization programs.

Requirements include completion of IHWAP Training and Certification, QCI certification within 90 days, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of IHWAP Training and Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Quality Control Inspector (QCI) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Champaign County and Central Illinois.
• Proficient in English with strong spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential energy assessments and energy efficiency projects.
• Provide energy education and install energy-saving measures (LEDs, aerators, showerheads, smart thermostats).
• Submit program documents and participate in outreach activities.
• Coordinate with program partners, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
