Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Hawaii is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, effective home dialysis therapy oversight and patient education. The role includes training patients and families, documentation of clinical data, and coordination with the physician team to ensure quality home therapy delivery.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience, dialysis exposure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• RN licensed nurse; graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year medical-surgical nursing experience; ICU experience preferred.
• Dialysis training completed; CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective home dialysis training and oversight to patients and families.
• Rotate with licensed staff to ensure coverage and participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain CQI documentation and participate in monthly CQI meetings.
• Document patient data, orders, labs, vital signs in the information system.
• Coordinate transfer of patients to hemodialysis clinic when needed; communicate with physicians.
