Job summary

Nourishing Hope is seeking a Home Delivery Program Coordinator in Chicago to support in-person markets, home delivery, and online markets. You will engage neighbors, coordinate volunteers, manage operations, and help with data tracking and reporting to ensure a dignified, efficient food distribution experience.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining records, and collaborating with partners to sustain high standards of safety and service in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 2–5 years in social services, food service/distribution, or grocery/retail.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a van.
• Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Salesforce CRM data quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline contact for neighbors, providing guidance with empathy and clarity.
• Assist with training and supervision of volunteers and new staff; act as manager on duty when appropriate.
• Input and maintain neighbor/data records in required platforms; produce reports and track KPIs.
• Support inventory and relationships with external partners such as The Greater Chicago Food Depository, USDA, and FEMA.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and SOP adherence across programs.
