Community Action Team Inc. in Saint Helens, OR seeks a Home Delivered Meal Coordinator to support the Meals on Wheels program by coordinating volunteers, managing daily routes, and ensuring clients receive meals and care.

You will handle client and volunteer communications, maintain records, update meal labels, and assist kitchen staff. This is a part-time role (~18 hours/week) with a starting pay of $15.55 per hour and requires background checks and a drug screening.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong customer service, phone etiquette, and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with strong record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to follow program policies and work cooperatively with a team.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from agencies, volunteers, staff, and clients; share daily meal updates
• Make follow‑up calls to clients, families, case managers, or emergency contacts
• Assign new clients to routes and maintain client records
• Enter data and update spreadsheets, labels, and meal counts
• Adjust routes/schedules and prepare daily meal labels
• Assist kitchen staff with meal prep, dishwashing, or deliveries as needed
• Maintain route binders, maps, and volunteer schedules
• Supervise volunteers who clean and sanitize delivery bags
• Train volunteers; assist with background checks and coordinate substitutes
• Track donations and submit to the CAT office
• Send and receive emails, including encrypted communications
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday — 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  Part‑time | Approx. 18 hours/week (includes a 30‑minute lunch)

Pay Rate

$15.55 per hour
