Job summary

ION Solar is actively seeking qualified Technicians to manage inspections after solar installations. The role involves coordinating inspections with jurisdictions, delivering project documents, and communicating with customers in a professional manner.

Expect emphasis on safety, quality control, and timely project completion, with drywall patchwork repairs constituting a major portion of duties. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in construction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous construction experience in electrical, roofing, or framing preferred.
  • Experience with solar is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule inspections with proper jurisdictions and deliver documents to projects.
  • Share project information with corporate office and ensure timelines.
  • Maintain quality control and crew safety on site.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and handle questions/complaints.
  • Perform drywall patchwork repairs as needed (~90%).
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.We are looking for qualified Technicians who will be responsible for the management of all inspections following the solar installation.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSetting up inspections with the proper jurisdictionsDelivering documents at the premises of projects.Sharing information with the corporate office about important items with each project.Complete projects within established policies and procedures.Complete projects within time frames and budgets.Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.Perform approximately 90% of repairs involving drywall patchwork.Performs other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Work exceptionally well with others, competently delegate work among the crew, and resolve potential issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Organized with attention to detail.Ability to resolve customer concerns while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivatedProficient math skills to calculate the number of materials neededAbility to use ION technology, such as Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphonesMust possess a valid Driver's License and be willing to submit to a Motorized Vehicle ReportEducation and Experience:A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMore than 1 year of previous construction experience is required in electrical, roofing, or framing.Solar experience is preferredDriving Requirements:Must be at least 21 years oldMust have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checkPhysical Requirements:Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.Compensation/Benefits:Competitive wagesAffordable Health/Vision/Dental Insurance401KPaid time off and paid holidaysPaid birthday offION Solar is an equal-opportunity employer.
