ION Solar is seeking a Crew Lead Installer in Las Vegas to assemble, install, and maintain solar PV systems while leading a juggling crew on rooftop projects.

You will coordinate PV configurations, ensure quality control, and train teammates on installation procedures and safety practices. The role emphasizes strong electrical knowledge, plan-reading ability, and physical capability to work at heights.

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.We are looking for a Crew Lead Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The role also involves providing leadership to other crew members on the job.Duties/Responsibilities:Assembles and installs solar panels on roofsConfigures PV systems based on site conditions and customers' needs and expectations; connects panels to the power gridMaintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safetyComplete projects within established policies and proceduresEnsures that equipment is weather-sealedPerforms routine maintenance on PV systemsAssisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical systemTrain crew members up to speed on all components utilized during installation (procedures, tools, lines of communication, etc.)Check over provided jobs (pack out) before leaving the warehouse each morning to ensure provided material.Review plans and count parts from the plan set to verify BOMResponsible for final system walkthrough with the customer ensuring quality and aesthetic of installCleanliness of job site and lon installation vehiclesResponsible for following and actively enforcing all OSHA and ION safety guidelines at their location, including attending weekly safety meetings and safety inspections per ION policyPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to read building plans.Ability to read equipment manuals.Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc.Valid Driver's License and clean driving record requiredEducation and Experience:A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredSolar Install experience is requiredVocational or technical school training is preferredDriving Requirements:Must be at least 21 years oldMust have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checkPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work at great heights.Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.Work Environment:Installation is done outdoors. Installers work on rooftops but also sometimes work in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electrical grid.Installers work as part of a team.
