Job summary

Ferguson in Knoxville, TN is seeking a route driver to deliver materials to customers with loading/unloading assistance. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–3pm with overtime as needed and home daily, no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, including loading/unloading and delivering the ticket.
• Pick up customer returns, validate product match for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck, and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including PPE, with harness weight capacity up to 400 lbs.
