Job summary

48forty Solutions in Douglas, GA is seeking a Local Class A Driver to join our team. You’ll handle all local truckload deliveries, primarily drop and hook, and you will drive an automatic 53’ dry van.

Expect to operate within about 100 miles and be home daily, with weekends off and no touch freight. We offer competitive pay at $22.00/hour, plus benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, a 401(k), paid time off, and access to earned wages before

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL-A driving experience within the past year.
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid CDL-A license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
• No record of being disqualified to drive.
• Successful completion of a DOT road test.
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van
