Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Local Class A Driver for Savannah, GA. Enjoy weekends off, home daily, and no-touch freight with competitive pay of $26 to $29 per hour plus OT. Expect local truckload deliveries, drop and hook, and driving a 53’ auto trailer.

You will need a CDL-A with 1 year of experience, be 23+, pass a DOT physical and road test, and maintain a clean PSP and driving record. Proficiency in reading/writing English is required.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
• No record of being disqualified to drive.
• Successful completion of a DOT road test.
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van
