Job summary

Ferguson in Richmond, VA is seeking a delivery driver to join our team. You’ll deliver materials, assist with loading/unloading, and ensure delivery tickets match products for customers.

The role offers daily home time, overtime when needed, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) with company match. Safety is a core focus in every shift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate basic technology including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, assisting with loading and unloading and ensuring delivery tickets match.
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report issues.
• Follow and implement all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and receiving.
• Work overtime as needed and wear PPE per company policy.
