Job summary

Southeastern Food Merchandisers is seeking a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to safely move trailers between company facilities on committed routes. The role emphasizes staying compliant with DOT regulations, maintaining logs, and returning home daily with no over-the-road travel.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, report hazards, and adhere to safety policies while ensuring timely trailer movement between Pelham, AL and designated domiciles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean MVR for past three years.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• One year of Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
• Drug screen, background check, MVR review, and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Transport trailers between Pelham, Alabama, and designated domiciles.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor, trailer, and related equipment.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, incidents, or equipment concerns to Transportation Supervisor.
• Maintain logs and required documentation.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
