Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking a Class A CDL Route Driver in Nashville, TN. This role involves delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders, loading and unloading, and maintaining accurate documentation.

You will operate a HazMat vehicle, support customer relations, and ensure safety inspections are completed before and after each trip. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Class A CDL
• Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired.
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle to deliver compressed and liquid gas cylinders, as well as hard goods, along designated routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers and address inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Record all transactions accurately and obtain necessary customer signatures.
• Handle the loading and unloading of all materials.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, noting any issues to ensure full safety compliance and maintaining the vehicle's condition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a representative of the company during all deliveries.
