Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse/Backup CDL Driver in Nashville, TN. You will manage loading, delivery, and safe handling of high-pressure gas cylinders with a focus on hazardous material safety and DOT inspections.

Monday–Friday 7 am start, home daily, with potential weekend on-call shifts. Responsibilities include stocking, inventory checks, driving routes, forklift operation, and maintaining accurate vehicle documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification required.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs regularly and up to 100+ lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Must maintain a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials in warehouse.
• Receive, check, and store delivered materials; conduct regular inventory checks.
• Enforce receipt, storage, and distribution policies; review invoices.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Observe safety rules and company policies.
• Deliver compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders on scheduled routes.
• Load/unload trucks, retrieve empty cylinders, and return for refilling.
• Maintain vehicle documentation and professional appearance.
