Job summary

Airgas in Theodore, AL is hiring a Warehouse/Backup CDL B Driver. This home-daily role involves loading, unloading, and delivering gas cylinders using a CDL B truck to local customers. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:30am start and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, forklift handling, and maintaining strong customer relations while meeting delivery timelines. Benefits and 401(k) with company match are offered.

Qualifications

• CDL A/B with Hazmat or ability to obtain within 60 days
• Airbrake endorsements required/obtainable
• Valid driver license, medical card and endorsements
• Able to lift 75 lbs and move 125+ lbs with equipment
• 1 year CDL driving in last 5 years or certificate of completion from trucking school

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety
• Move materials using a forklift
• Load and unload cylinders daily
• Deliver cylinders to local/regional customers
• Maintain courteous customer relations and timely deliveries
• Secure and strap cylinders for transport
• Perform hand-cart deliveries on customer sites
• Stay active and mobile throughout the day
